Joel Silidker, MD
I was born in New Jersey and lived there until graduation from high school. I graduated from The George Washington University and The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine, I settled in the New Haven area.
My goal is to provide my patients with a wide range of general obstetric and gynecologic care in a kind and compassionate manner. This includes pregnancy, general gynecologic care, and issues ranging from problems with menstrual periods and premenstrual syndrome (PMS) to peri-menopause and menopause.
I have advanced training and experience in laser surgery, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, ultrasound, pelviscopy, laparoscopic surgery (including laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy), and both medical and surgical treatment of urinary incontinence. I also perform Essure hysteroscopic vaginal sterilization and da Vinci robotic laparoscopic surgery.
I am a member of the faculty as a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine and am a recipient of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology's Outstanding Community Physician Award. I am Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
I live with my wife, Tina, and have two sons, Jordan and Aaron. I would consider it an honor to provide you with medical care.
